This Satellite antenna is the perfect update to those antenna systems that were OEM supplied in the last 10 years on motorhomes. Winegard hit a homerun with this product. This is the best price on the internet. I almost ordered with another seller. It was the same price. The other competitor wanted 80.00 for shipping. I was told the weight qualified for freight shipping. Dyers was the same price and shipping was only 9.99. No brainer. Went with Dyers and I'm glad I did. Shipping was fast the product came with all accessories and installation was a breeze! Will do business again with Dyers.

Wanted to replace my old in-motion dome and have heard noting but good comments on the Trav'ler.
I have almost stopped looking at the competition when ordering RV stuff. Dyers always seems to have what I want and at the cheapest price! Their customer service is also outstanding!
The hardest part of the install was fishing the power cable through the roof into the front AV compartment. Didn't want to drill additional holes in the roof so we spent a couple hours snaking the power cable through the ceiling maze on my Travel Supreme. Did have to cut the power plug off and reattach after running the wires. The satellite mounted very easily as my roof is fiberglass and flat. It took a few minutes to figure out how to connect the different control boxes and SWM to the Box Of Many Buttons (BOMB). Eventually got everything in its proper place and all TVs work great! (Can anyone tell me why I have 3 TVs in a 350 sq. ft. motorhome and only one in a 4,000 sq. ft. house?) :-)

Just bought a new Winnebago Vista in June and immediately started looking for a HD satellite dish for Directv. Dyer's had the best price that I found, and with the low cost 2-day delivery, the value is hard to top. Echoing other reviewers, the unit is a bit heavy to lug up a ladder to the roof. Locating the dish almost dead center front to back and side to side on my Vista did not require the additional cost of the mounting plate, as that area of the roof is almost flat. The 30' of cabling was more than adequate to reach the front of the RV, where Winnebago conveniently placed a decal marking the exact spot to drill the cable entry hole.
A couple of things would have made the installation simpler: 1). Dyer's could provide a list of recommended sealants for different roof types (had to contact and order the recommended type from my dealer). 2). Installation video produced by Winegard or Dyer's.
Overall, I am very pleased with the product and Dyer's RV.

As mentioned in other reviews the unit is heavy and awkward when trying to lift it on the roof. However a grandson, who is a football player, made the job a lot easier. The other comment is that I felt that the 1", #8 sheet metal screws were less than adequate to mound a unit, with a large reflector, that will be tested by the wind when it is in it's operating position. So, I used 1/4" lag screws and it feels very secure.

Absolute Must If You Want HD DirecTV

This product performs perfectly as designed except through heavy tree cover. After much research Dyers provided the best price and their delivery was free and superfast. I strongly recommend purchase of the "Winegard Support Mounting Plate" it will make your install easier and much more secure (I think the "Winegard Support Mounting Plate is priced too high but it is a must). If you do purchase the "Winegard Support Mounting Plate" you do "NOT" need to purchase the "Winegard Roller Wear Plate". Ensure you install with plenty of lap sealant. I mounted this and the Trav'ler on the rear area on the roof of a 272RLIS Forest River Salem Hemisphere. I did "NOT" cut a hole in the roof for the operating and CAT cable. I used PVC pipe and ran the cables through the pipe from the Trav'ler to the rear of my RV, down the back hooked to the ladder. (PVC was a short piece 90 degrees off of the Trav'ler to a 90 degree elbow then a long piece of pipe to rear of RV then another 90 degree elbow and another long piece of pipe along and hooked to the ladder with the open end about 2 inces above the bumper). I ran the system control cable into the wireing harness under the bumper. As for the CAT cable I ran that to the splicer that came with the Trav'ler and then into the Satellite In for the main living area on the rear of my RV. I then ran a second CAT cable from splicer to the "Park" in connenction. Must use the satellite in for the SWM to work and send power back to system. Again a great purchase.

Dyers provided a great price and fast delivery. I also ordered the wear plate which was missing a couple of the mounting screws. Contacted Dyers and they had the screws shipped to me.
Installation was easy. Most difficult part of the install is deciding where to run the wires which wasn't a problem, just a little anxiety when putting a hole in the roof.
I used the Trav'ler for the first time last week and I can't tell you how nice it was to simply power-up the unit and let it do its thing while I finished the rest of my site setup. Nice to have the ability to receive Hi-Def Direct channels which I wasn't able to do with the VueQube which is also a nice unit and will be used as a backup if satellite reception using the Trav'ler is blocked.
