It was very nice to not have to get out a compass to find satellites. Just plug the unit into 12V power and run the satellite cable to the SAT In on 5th wheel. Wait a few minutes before turning on satellite receiver and then do a check switch. As soon as that finished all of the channels were available for viewing.

Not that pleased with it so far. Had Direct TV here at my RV and he couldn't get it to work after I had already tried myself. We got out my other Winegard stationary receiver and he gor a signal with that, I sent it back to Winegard at my expense,$53, and they tell there is nothing wrong with it, So I'm not a real happy camper right now.....

I considered buying the King Controls VuQube VQ2000, but the Winegard Carryout has clear advantages, such as no remote control to mess with, automatic switching from DirecTV satellite 101 to 119, standard 12 volt power source, and use of standard RU6 coaxial cable. Was able to use existing 12 volt outlet and RU6 outlet at flybridge on my houseboat. Best product in existence for the use and value.

I couldn't wait to get it and test it out in my 5th wheel, well after receiving my Winegard I went right out and hooked it up, the instructions say it cannot hookup to the outside of the 5th wheel, so I went to my DVD player, everything worked great except there was no sound to TV, after doing a lot of testing things out after about 45 min. I decided to hook it back to the outside again, Well it worked, I had sound, great picture,and it was fast finding the satellite so it does work if you have a outside satellite hookup, it did in my case anyway. So try it if you have the same problem. I'm very happy with the system. It works great,fast, light, and portable, what else could a person want. The price was the best anywhere,thanks Dyer's and Winegard your'e best.
