TorkLift StableLoad Quick Disconnect Ford/Chevy (Lower Overload)
Description / TorkLift StableLoad Quick Disconnect Ford/Chevy (Lower Overload)
he StableLoad Quick Disconnect (patent pending) is our number one recommended most effective and versatile Stableload. This Stableload design is specifically engineered for the extremely robust lower overload springs. The lower overload springs are generally over 30% stronger than upper overload springs making this Stableload design the most effective. This Stableload design offers astounding improvement in safety and vehicle handling and is accomplished by putting the robust lower overload to work sooner dramatically stabilizing the vehicles suspension making the vehicle's passengers and load significantly safer. All Stableload kits work equally well with or without aftermarket airbags overloads.
The Quick disconnect models for the lower overload spring incorporate a unique design that allows the StableLoad to quickly engage or disengage your lower overloads, enabling you and your passengers to ride in safety and comfort when towing or hauling and to quickly return to the original ride in just seconds when not towing or hauling. This is accomplished by attaching each of the StableLoads (four per kit) onto each overload end (front and rear passenger side, front and rear driver side). The Quick Disconnect StableLoad Series is designed with a tapered wedge mounted to a hinge mechanism that allows the StableLoad to be hinged in or out of engagement in seconds using a common 3/8" ratchet extension and ratchet. Each precision crafted Stableload kit carries our legendary lifetime warranty and is proudly made in the USA.
A7310 StableLoad is a NO DRILL APPLICATION and requires factory predrilled .5" diameter holes in lower overload spring. The A7310 Quick Disconnect StableLoad is designed for vehicles that have a lower overload leaf suspension with a hole near each end of the lower overload spring. The lower overload will for the most part be shorter, thicker and will generally have separation from the rest of the spring pack. In most cases, there will be a plastic disk covering the hole in question.
On Quick Disconnect StableLoad (part#'s A7310/A7311) Due to wear and tear after time, some vehicles leaf springs may have minimal clearance with the lower overload for StableLoad engagement / disengagement when the vehicle is unloaded. In order for the StableLoad to engage and disengage with minimal effort, a minimum gap of 1/8" is required between the lower overload and the spring pack.

Customer Reviews
I originally installed air bags. They work great, but were doing ALL the load handling once I leveled the loaded truck back out with them. Was a little bouncy over highway dips with the air bags doing all the work. Think riding on an exercise ball. Compression is slowed with the air pressure, but rebound bounce back increased.
I also think the stock FX4 package (fake) Rancho shocks need to be replaced to handle this much weight.
Adding the Stable Loads put a lot of the load handling back on the leaf springs (lower overloads) instead of the air bags. I was able to use less air to get level.
Highway speed bounce reduced a little, but I still plan to swap stock shocks to a set of Rancho RS9000XLs soon.
I think the product is good and works. It's just over priced for some flat pieces of steel and basic generic fasteners. Fit and finish was good. Retaining pins are a pain with the pin and cotter pin setup. A flip snap type pin would be better.
Installation was easy in my case since my leafs already had the mounting hole drilled in them. Otherwise I bet it would be a pain drilling them out.
Overall I'm satisfied with them. Just wish they were cheaper considering how basic they are.
Simple fixes are the best!
