solidly built

Heavy duty, will accept any bike rack. Some amount of play, but easy to shim if an issue for your install. Very solid and can probably handle 4 bikes if you can get them to fit between the truck & trailer. I ended up with a Swagman 2-bike RV rack mounted to this. I will note that I also modified the Swagman (one of the reasons I chose it) by drilling a mount to get the bikes a few inches closer to the trailer and open up the space between the tow vehicle. I use it for two bikes in this format.

I installed the bunk easily but have not used it with bikes as I have not camped yet.

Easily installs on the trailer hitch area; the only problem is with the propane tanks. They do address this in the instructions on ways to have it where you can replace your propane tanks. The cover on most if it is a hard cover for the propane tanks will not lift off with the bike bunk over top; so they give you different solutions for this. I don't mind this since I only would change tanks once a season.
