When you place this on the back of the dryer, it still requires 4" of hose space, but also hits the back of the dryer area that sticks out, would have to make it face down to fit 4". We went with a behind the wall flat square vent from our local DIY store.

Installed the washer/dryer in a corner, elbow allowed for vent to go to exterior wall of trailer. Wish there was something with a lower profile, but understand proper ventilation is important.
