Description / SouthWire 50A Electric Storage Reel with 33' Cord
No other cord reel device retrieves more quickly or stores more compactly. Pull the cord and it free-spools off the reel…you only pull off what you need. To retrieve, push the button (motorized) or turn the hand crank (manual). Optional floor portal and roller kits are recommended for cords exiting through storage compartment floors. If your RV has a twist lock plug in the storage compartment, optional female twist lock connector on the end of the pigtail simplifies installation.

Good size for fitting into my cord compartment. Wiring into my surge protector was clear cut and doable by any DIYer. Used it on three occasions so far, and it's working as promoted. The manufacturer of the reel was very helpful with questions I asked. If you are thinking of a cord reel, which I highly recommend getting, this one works as described.

Of the 34' of cord on the reel, only goes out 30' 6".
If this reel had 40' of usable cord, I would give it 5 stars.
I hope the 10' extension I carry will be enough.

Rate the TRC 50A as disappointing....

Had to buy a replacement reel for my motor home. The reel works great. Much easier than rolling up the heavy 50 amp cord and storing it in a compartment as we did with our 5th wheel. We upgrdaed to a DP and the 2004 coach came with the 50 amp reel from TRC. We take 3-5 trips annually, so we didn't overuse the product. So I was disappointed the original TRC 50A failed and I had to buy a replacement - motor crashed. But I was happy with the service I got from Dyers. They delivered what they advertized and the price was the best I found.
