You could easily spend hundreds of dollars on a macerator pump for your RV sewage, plus the costs of adding accessories, fittings, etc. The Valterra SewerSolution Systems is an all-In-one affordable RV macerator system, at 1/3 of the price of other macerator systems in the RV camping world. The SewerSolution includes a clear polycarbonate pump unit, 10´ SewerSolution dump hose, garden hose quick-connect with back-flow preventer and an adapter for connecting to 3" and 4" sewer pipe or 1" PVC pipe.
The SewerSolution is powered by a precision, high velocity, solid stream water jet. As waste is drawn into the jet, the powerful hydraulic force rips the waste to pieces, even the gunk that can be caked to your holding tank walls. The SewerSolution uses a fresh water hook-up to power wash and flush out every bit of dirt and grime that is stuck in your holding tanks. The clear window on the pump shows you when the water goes from grey to clear as the macerator chomps up waste and dumps it into the sewer clean out.
In an RV space is always an issue. You need parts that can fold down to fit in compact spaces. The Valterra SewerSolution System is easy to store when folded down to a 14″ spool. If you do not want the bare hose sitting in a baggage compartment, think about purchasing a Prime Products handy storage bag so you can keep all your SewerSolution items in one easy to find location (storage bag sold separately).

No more bulky 3" hoses to deal with, no more messy sewage dumps. The water-powered jet pump liquefies & pumps sewage through the 10’ x 3/4" non-kinking smooth dump hose. If you need more length Valterra has 10’ extension hoses that easily extend giving an air tight seal, (extra hoses sold separately). **Valterra does not recommend attaching more than 30’ of dump hoses together.
**Valterra tip if you need more than 30’ of hose -
We suggest using a maximum of 30' of our 3/4" hose. If you need to pump longer distances (up to 100' over level ground) you can easily insert 1" PVC pipe (white pipe from the hardware store) into the system. Use 1" PVC coupling for each stick of PVC pipe you get to join them together. There is normally no need to glue the pipes together as the friction fit should be sufficient. To connect to 1" PVC pipe, first pull the adapter out of the elbow on the sewer connector (the thing with the big rubber rings). The adapter is pressed into the elbow and connects to the green hose. You may have to wiggle it around to separate the parts. The end of the adapter is 1" PVC and will connect to a 1" collar. The elbow is also 1" PVC and will except the end of your 1" pipe.

This things works great for my situation. I have a 5th wheel in a location where I can't hook to the sewer on a full-time basis. Plus the sewer connection is uphill from my site. I had seen this product being used by my neighbor at another location and figured I rather deal with the 3 inch hose than pay the price for the sewer solution. By my new situation makes the sewer solution the perfect solution. I have to run between 30 and 40 feet, gradually uphill. I use 10 feet if included hose and finished the run with 1 inch PVC pipe. The connector from hose to PVC is provided in the kit. I dumped my blackwater tank without any problems and quickly. The list price for the sewer solution is high but the price I paid at Dyers made it a bargain. I am very pleased with this product and Dyers shipped the kit quickly. Dyers is on my "favorites" list.

I have been an rver for many years. finding a place to dump has always been a problem. i have a 35 foot fifth wheel, so accessability of a dump station and the long waiting lines has always been an issue. with the sewer solution i now dump at home. i went to home depot and bought some 1 inch pvc and couplings. when i need to empty my tanks, i merely hookup the sewer solution apperatus up, stick the pvc together , connect the water line and drain into my home cleanout. it takes awhile, but the convenience is well worth it.

First timer with the clean out, I always heard it was messy. No stink no mess with the SS. It was a little slow to drain, but worked fine. A few times the tissue clogged up the drain, I had to move the lever back & forth to tear up the tissue, then it drained fine. I think the standard drain hose would be faster, but this was no clean up & did the job. We poured a few gallons of water in toilet to get all residue out & worked like a charm. Glad I purchased, at a fair price.

I love this product due to how little stored space it takes up. Plus it's self cleaning so no worries about getting hands all dirty. This does pump fairly slow but sending about 20 gallons through a 3/4 hose that is expected. Would I buy again? Not sure I have only used the product once. It does have it's pros and cons but really it does not have a huge advantage over the stinky slinky. It does pump further but you need to have water there to pump. You can pump off the outside shower if needed.

I'm a relative newby: bought a used Class A Airstream about 3 years ago, and have been enjoying it. I added a surge guard from Dyers and a few outings conviced me that my most disliked task was the 3" waste line: why is the "standard" design have this s**t go through a corrugated line that traps bacteria?
There are a few potential problems with the electric macerators that convinced me that the Sewer Solution was a well thought-out design, and now I'm convinced, especially for a full hookup site. I left the grey tank open, showered like I was at home, and at the end of the stay closed the grey, turned on the water jet and opened the black tank. It went well, and I could see how clean the output was as I flushed & rinsed. The hose was small and not in the way, and it took a little longer because I could purge and rinse and see what I was doing. I've already recommended this to two others, and found some Airstreamers who have been using this stuff for a couple of years: one of them pumps UP at home, about 40 feet!.

Price is high given the simplicity and components? Go make your own then.
The Sewer Solution works great, costs so much less than a macerator pump; so what if the cost of components is low in your opinion, the SS is worth its price.
I use the SS to dump my tanks into my home's sewer cleanout in the front yard. I pump it about 40' over level ground using 1" PVC pipe. The SS also works great at regular dump stations, the design makes the SS and hose self cleaning, just close the dump valves and let the water run for a few minutes. Dumping with SS is way better than stinky slinky, I highly recommend it.

Just wanted to say I received the Sewer Solution right on scheduled time. It is now installed on my trailer and I am delighted with the results. My trailer has a tank flush inlet, but I could never before tell when the tank was clean. This little hydraulic pump works great,I added 30' of 1"PVC to reach my sewer line,and the viewport lets me know when everything is flushed out.

Before I bought this I was having trouble with my black tank draining completely, even though I have a flush system. The first time I used this unit it pulled everything out of the tank. I am really pleased with this item. The price was lots lower than Camping World, (the other source I checked) which is one of the reasons I bought from Dyers. Also I had previously bought from Dyers and I was impressed with both the pricing and delivery. Dyers will be only source for RV items in the future .
