Bought a 2017 Jayco trailer with these door catches and one broke on our first weekend trip. The cheap plastic ones I have had on previous trailers last much longer and cost 25% of the price of these to replace when they break.

The OEM latch broke so I found this replacement through Dyers. The new one seems to a combination of metal and plastic, i'll wait and see if it's better.

Year after year we purchased hard plastic replacement latches just like the original factory installed latch. Some years 2 or more times and they continued to break. I finally got fed up when one broke going down the road. Apparently the door slid open harshly and the mirror cracked. I searched for a better alternative and believe I found it. These simple latches hold better and release easily. Great product. Thanks Dyers!
