This performs as advertised. Sometimes it will scan the sky and finish in only 5-6 minutes. Downloading the guide takes another 4-10 minutes, but they say it will download it in the middle of the night after the first time.
The only issue I have is it won't work with a 50 foot cable. I think it is because my trailer has another 20-30 foot of cable running thru the floor or ceiling to the entertainment center. If I run the cable directly to the receiver, it works. Also works great with just a 25 foot cable.
p.s. I have only used it for 4 days, but spent several hours trying the east and west satellites with and without the 50 cable.
p.s.s. The satellite was sitting beside the trailer in winds gusting to 55 mph and the signal didn't drop nor did it blow away!!

The X2 works great! I am in San Antonio, Texas, and can easily receive both the West and East Arc satellites. The only thing that you have to be sure of is that the dish is on a level surface. It doesn't work well if off level even slightly. The optional tripod base comes in very handy for getting it level and also keeps it up off the ground from rain. The Pay-as-You-Go option from Dish is also great, so you only pay for the actual days you have the receiver activated. This is a great product and glad I went with this setup.
