PullRite OE Series Super5th 18K for Ford Trucks with Factory Prep Package

This hitch is a definite for Ford owners with factory prep on new trucks. The ease of installation and removal is unbelievable. The flexibility of hitch is a big plus while towing. I have a 42' 5th wheel and don't even feel the trailer behind me. Even though Ford people will tell you the factory prep package is for a Reese hitch, I would take the Pullrite OE over Reese any day. The other great thing about this hitch is that you can remove it and have full use of your truck for other uses with no hitch rails obstructing any other use. And buying from Dysers you will get superior pricing and fast delivery.

If you have the new 5th wheel prep package on your new Ford truck, you have learned that your previous 5th wheel hitch will not work with it. Not something Ford tells you when you buy the truck! There are only a very few hitches to chose from, and the Pullrite OE 1300 is by far the best built hitch of them. It is rock solid and very easy to mount on the factory installed mounting system. A plus is when you go to remove the hitch from your truck, the mounting pins are removed from the hitch, leaving the bottom of the hitch smooth to slide in your truck bed without scratching the bed. Other brands have the pins permanently affixed, so they protrude below the base of the hitch base. I suggest putting a large piece of cardboard down to make it slide easier. to the edge of your truck bed.

As to pricing, I was offended that I had to buy a new hitch when I already had a perfectly good Pullrite hitch. As of now there are no adapter plates out there to convert the Ford installed system to work with convention rail systems. Being forced to buy a new hitch, I searched extensively to find the best price I could find. Dyer's RV was hands down the best price out there. Some other are cheaper by a couple bucks, but they gouge you for shipping! Dyer's offered free shipping. They drop ship the hitch from a local fullfillment center in your area. I ordered the hitch on Tuesday, and it was at my door Wednesday!

The hitch was impeccably packed in a very sturdy box and arrived in perfect condition. The only minor glitch was there was no owner's manual in the crate. The Pullrite website has a link to download it, but it currently says "Coming Soon". One call to Pullrite and they immediately sent me the manual via email. First class customer service for sure! The tech stayed on the phone with me until I received the email to make sure it came thru. Now THAT'S customer service!!!

If you are on the fence as to which hitch to buy, do not hesitate to buy the Puyllrite OE 1300, and buy it from Dyer's!!! You will never regret your decision!
