Customer Reviews
That was untill I used it for the first time put less then 8,000 km on the hitch. Pulled my 36' toy hauler across Canada though Rocky Mountains on majour well maintained Highways. Good miles to test the hitch and as I was leaving my driveway for my next trip the roller assembly snapped.
( this roller assembly is a 3/4" stud with a roller that holds the hitch strait and also directs the hitch to glide back as you turn in the slots.)
Company blames owners for not lubricating slide tubes and plastic glides properly (which in this case was lubricated as recommended) hitch was not binding or jamming in any way shape or form!!! .. This is a complete farce. There recommended lube is WD40 and has no recommendations to lube this assembly which broke. So beware your 18,000lbs trailer is being held on this hitch and being kept from flopping around uncontrollable by a single 3/4" diameter bolt. Serious design flaw. Read other RV forums and there's been others who lost the trailer off these hitches. if I would have known that this one roller assembly (3/4" bolt) was the major piece holding 18,000lbs from going out of control I would never ever have bought this hitch, so luckily this happened at low speed; And I noticed it. If not the hitch would have slid to the back which is still attached in the slide rails but if you had to make an emergency stop it has about 18" of room to slam forward which would most likely shear the two bolts at the front that are holding the rails down, and next would be in the back of your cab where you and your family reside!!!!
SO BE AWARE
