Good lights, but the life is a lot shorter than advertised, and if you bump one - that happens in a little camper van - it flicks on and off rather than stays on.
Bought 9 for Airstream dry camping. 3 have failed since purchase 15 months ago, each certainly with less than 500 hours use. Color temperature and low battery draw are great features, but high cost / low life expectancy are deal breakers. Do not recommend.
I purchased 20 of these bulbs last year as replacements for the automotive style bulbs on the inside of my RV, but was not sure they would work well in the outside fixtures. After doing further research, I decided they were good for that application, so bought 2 more for the outside, plus one more for a spare. The first 20 bulbs have performed flawlessly while consuming far less battery power, which is important as I do a lot of camping where there is no electric hookup.
Fair light output at a much lower battery drain. Dry camped 9 days for deer season last week and these lights drained the batteries, even with low temperatures around 20 degrees, much less than I expected. My wife likes to leave a light on at night while we're outside and with these bulbs it didn't seem to effect the batteries hardly at all. Will outfit every light in our trailer with these ASAP.
I purchased 2 of these bulbs as replacements to the 1141 incandescent bulbs in a fixture above our dining table. With the higher lumens the led bulbs are rated as, I expected these bulbs to provide brighter lighting. This is not the case. These bulbs aren't as bright as what I had and will probably go back to the old bulbs.
I really like this bulb. It is bright, uses little energy, but mostly, its a warm light and not one of those blue, off color bulbs that make the colors different and make you feel like you are in a fun house. I use several in our motor home and my wife and I both love them.
We installed Ming's LED bulbs throughout our travel trailer, and used these 1156@330 Lumens in the three outside light fixtures. They are bright, yet soft, and run cool with less electricity use. Information, ordering and fast delivery from Dyers is a pleasure.
Have surfed the internet for LED's and found these to be a best buy. Plus the color range is listed so you can get the correct color of light you desire. My first round, by another source, were in the blue color range. Wife did not like them. Took a chance on these and she loves them.
We are in the process of replacing all the bulbs in our trailer with LED bulbs. These worked great in the kitchen where we wanted extra bright light. The color is good also. They may be pricey, but they consume so little energy they will be worth it in the long run. Shipping was reasonable and I quickly received my order.
This is the third batch of bulbs I have bought (airstream old, uses 40 bulbs) as I said the Led 330's work great my solar 250 watts stays way ahead of the draw from these bulbs and everything else .I will not be having to buy any more bulbs for quite a while as the lifespan of the LED's is close to 100,000 hours. Buy quality and sit back and enjoy it.Don
Bought one unit at my local RV shop because I needed a replacement bulb, and I liked the 330 lumen spec. This bulb is to be placed in our porch light on out travel trailer, where every milliamp is sacred. Was very impressed with the performance. It drew only a fraction of the current that the original lamp did, and was brighter to boot. Both my wife and I were so impressed that I purchased 4 more from Dyers ( they had the absolute best price on it....much lower than my local shop!) and are upgrading the interior lighting on the trailer too.
I am very happy with these bulb warm bright light. Reduced my 12 volt lighting draw by 90% Which allowed me to cut the size of rooftop solar and associated costs. I still have few lights to go and they will all be these. Very happy.
I replaced 20 lights in my 5th wheel. Opted for the 330 Lumen bulbs, and they were very easy to replace the OEM's. These have "lighted up the night". I did go for the 250 Lumen LED's in the reading fixtures over the bed headboard area, as they are better for close up fixtures.
My walkway lighting uses 1141s and they are forever burning out from normal thermal cycling and long hours. These lamps put out plenty of light and seem to be impervious to the hot/cold.
Ordere the same bulb in a 6500 k range. Work great in the bathroom and vanity area. But they were too white when put in the main areas of the coach. Wife wanted a color closer to the incandesant bulbs we had. Tried one and will be ordering more in the future. We do camp hosting and a lot of it is without electricity so the LED's will help the batteries last longer. Just wish there were cheaper. One or two is not so bad but when you need 6-10 of them that gets pricey...
I installed these as outside lights on a camping trailer. They use a lot less energy and produce very little heat. The LED light is not intense and annoying as an incandesant bulbs, but the area lights up with a soft, pleasing light. The quality of the Ming's bulbs appears very good, and I had no problems with putting them throughout the camper. The recommendations I recieved from Dyer's were excellent and appreciated, and the order was promptly shipped.
We dry camp a lot and these bulbs made a real difference. I like the crisper cleaner look of the true white light vs the yellow of most light bulbs. Plus the usage for someone who isn't always hooked to power is amazing. We are able to go days on just a couple 6v batteries when before we couldn't make it through one night. Have only replaced a couple I'm going to do all the lights we use on a regular basis!
These bulbs are fantastic. Tested the actual draw from the battery, and these pull around .3 Amp compared to standard 1141's which pull about 1.4. They produce whiter light than a standard bulb (not blue like some older LEDs), but that's not a bad thing as the standard bulbs have a very strong yellow cast. They also produce slightly more light than the previous 1141's I had. The light pattern of these bulbs is great, they have full 360 degree coverage, and once installed, except for the slightly whiter tone, it's impossible to tell the difference. They burn cool even after several hours usage.
Bought 4 of them to replace the most commonly used bulbs in my rig and the power savings have been tangible. I highly recommend these to anyone looking to get some more efficient bulbs. Price is high, but if you only replace the essential bulbs, it's manageable and the power savings will be worth the investment.
Definitely a good purchase. Provides much more light than the standard 1141 bulbs and consuming much less electricity. For those who have high ceilings in big RV unit I can tell you that you can buy in confidence and that you will not be disappointed. It is a bit on the expensive side (I already bought 16 and need more!) but definitely worth the value. I hope it will last to what they advertise because I also tried the Revolution LED lights from Starlights at $30 a piece and within less than 20 hours of use the bulb burned.
These bulbs are a good replacement for 1141s. They give off enough light as replacements. However, even though they are listed as warm white they are quite a bit bluer than the standard incandescent 1141s and so are not as aesthetically pleasing over the dinning table. If they last as long as advertised they are an excellent value.
