Description / Heng's Polar White Range Exhaust Vent
Once the outside manual release damper is unsecured, the damper automatically opens when the range hood fan is activated to allow cooking odors and smoke to be exhausted. Damper automatically closes to prohibit insects and dust from entering when the range hood is not in operation.

It looks much better than the old yellowing one, which had a broken door hinge peg. Someone caulked the whole outer door to the trailer so it was a job removing the old vent. The mounting holes match the trailer holes exactly. I wish there would have been a little bit of instructions with it. It needed to have silicone caulk put on the upper screw holes and upper edge BEFORE it was mounted, because the outer cover, which has to be hooked on before it is mounted, prevents caulking the upper edge after the outer cover is attached. The sides and bottom can be caulked easily enough after mounting. I had to cut a little bit of the flange off that goes inside the trailer because it hit the range hood before it was all the way in. Overall, I'm glad I found this exhaust vent on your website.

Dyers top notch service. Hengs vent design lacking - flapper hinge pins way too small !! BE SURE TO LATCH FLAPPER ON EVERY MOVE OR REPLACE A MISSING FLAPPER !!

The design is good. The plastic stubs that hold the flapper in the frame are very small and fragile and break easily. I'm on my 3rd cover. Leave the flapper unhooked just once and you'll be replacing it. I sent an email to Heng's detailing the problem and suggesting the improvement. Their reply - "when that happens you'll be the first to know". That says it all. I'm stuck with this vent due to the cutout in the trailers wall.
