What is this kit and why would I need it?

Starting in the summer of 2019, there were over 150,000 of the most popular RV brands that pre-installed the Solera Slide Topper Access Plates Prep-Kit on their slide out rooms.

The Solera Slide Topper Prep-Kit was made to easily accept the mounting brackets for a Solera slide topper awning assembly, making it easier to install one by cutting out some of the prep work you would normally have to do to install a slide topper slide out awning.

Now, with this kit made by Dometic, it is possible to install a Dometic Slide Topper Awning assembly by using this EZ adapter kit with the already pre-installed Lippert Components Solera Slide Topper Prep-Kit. No need to remove the pre-installed Solera Prep-Kit, simply remove the access plate cover and slide the Dometic EZ Slide Topper Adapter Bracket onto the access plate and install the included end caps. It's as easy as that!
