I wanted the higher capacity softener for my rv. My first use of it was to wash my truck, to give it a good flush out. After flushing, hardness test with included test strips was very low. No spots on truck or windows. Looked like it had been waxed. I'm happy with the purchase of this highly rated portable softener, and will recommend it to my friends.
