Read reviews, rebuilt the hinge

Read reviews which pointed out the poor quality and sad engineering design. My hinges broke, as predicted, where the single screw design flaw led to inevitable weakness and breakage. Used hardware store 1/8 inch aluminium to craft two 2 x 7/8 inch reinforcing struts which were epoxied with an additional screw to affix the hinges. Better the new and almost free. Dometic, you should be ashamed .
