Just drop it in and go, no messy rails or adapters to fiddle with.
One of the best things about the new Demco UMS Series 18k Ford Prep Package Hijacker is that it uses your existing pre-drilled holes in your Ford truck to set-up the hitch. There are no rails to clutter the bed of your truck. When you are ready to take the hitch out – that’s it, no rails! You can use the whole bed of your truck to haul those things you need from the hardware store. There will be plenty of room in the back of your truck and you won’t have to wonder “Where did I put those rails when I took the hitch out?”
Demco Autoslide Hijackers can be raised or lowered to meet your truck to trailer leveling needs. There are three adjustable heights - low 15 ½”, middle 16 ¾”, and high 18 ¼”. Other hitches on the market only have one option for height, but Demco gives you three!

Item took two weeks and was creased

I got a tracking number which turned out not to be for my item. My item was finally delivered two weeks later. When we took it out of the cardboard tube it was mailed in it had a pretty serious crease in it where they taped two cardboard tubes together. We couldn’t afford to send it back and wait for another roller so we ended up using it. Very disappointed in the packaging and the shipping.

A great towing solution for standard bed box

Installed my F-250 standard box to tow an 11k trailer. Great instructions (if you actually read them, that is...) Easier if you have help, and even easier if that help has a forklift. The only real challenge is maneuvering the hitch base around to bolt the rails on, and that just due to the weight.
Easy hookup and disconnect to the trailer. Pulls smooth and steady on good roads, a little rough on rough roads, but nothing that made me nervous eat all. The slide feature is great - I tested a 90deg turn and cleared my cab by 4”. I don’t plan to get into situations where I need to turn that tight, but it’s great knowing I don’t need to worry about it.
Dyers was fantastic. Easy ordering process, great price, and excellent delivery. The hitch arrived on time and in perfect condition.

Customer service was quick to answer questions. Pricing was great. The hitch arrived by freight quickly and works exactly as described. Automatically. We have used it for 3 trips now and it is quiet and secure. One thing to note is the 2015 superdutt with short bed will use the supplied 3/8 shim on each side and a spacer off the pucks.

Demco customer service was first rate. Hitch was shipped missing the head. My initial thought was" this is going to be a problem". I emailed Demco and they answered me right away, I explained the problem and without hesitation a replacement head was on the way.
It left the plant back east Friday and I picked it up Wed.
Haven't used the hitch yet but with customer service like that I'm not worried.

Great price, great delivery (3 days). Everything needed to drop in 2017 F250 with factory prep. Bolted in nicely and this hitch has some advantages over my old Superglide (loved it but no adapter for new truck).

This less expensive solution to the short bed truck does the job. Yes, it is much heavier than a standard hitch. What I did was install an 1/2 in eye bolt in the ceiling of my garage and bought an inexpensive 1 ton chain hoist to hang from it. Just pull the truck under the hoist and lift it out and set it down on a furniture dolly. So even though it is heavy I can install/uninstall and store the hitch by myself.
The biggest issue I have had is getting the hitch to line up properly and lock onto the pin. Seems like the capture bars won't turn the hitch even a tiny bit while hitching. I always get the pin box slightly on top of the capture bars and have to jiggle it around a bit by moving the truck back and forth a few times before it lines up and drops down between the capture bars.

Product works awesome. Used it a couple of times with my short bed and i can honestly put the trailer past a 90 deg with this hitch. It runs smooth and hooks up easy. I like that i did not have to buy additional catch plates. I am glad i went with this hitch and did not just buy the OEM hitch from the dealer. Dyers service was as expected and product arrived promptly. Would recommend this hitch to any short bed truck owner.

Used this hitch for the first time 6/26/2016, it worked just like they said it would. Very smooth and quiet operation pulling the trailer great with no problems at all. If I ever need RV parts the first place I'll check is Dyers RV parts, lowest prices I could find and shipping was included in the price of the hitch... Finally used it this weekend, worked out as advertised.
Unit is solid but very heavy (around 300 lbs)
I actually let the trailer lift it out of the bed and will be stored on the pin until next use.
I would recommend the Demco hitch.
