The Carefree 18’ to 19’ Vacation’r Screen Room gives you protection from the elements with an unobstructed view!
Set-up is fast and easy with this one piece complete room design (front and side panels are all one piece). There are no poles, rafters or permanent fasteners to attach to your coach. No drilling or rafters and front and side panels are one complete piece means easy installation for you!
The Vacation’r Screen Room by Carefree is made of durable lightweight polyester tent material that is light and airy so you can still enjoy the breeze without getting all wet! If it does rain water pooling is never an issue, the water dump feature works on Carefree 12V awnings.
If you want extra privacy turn down the multi-setting privacy panels. Convenient zippered tote storage bag allows you to put away your Carefree Vacation’r Screen Room when you are not camping.
Mounting Requirements for the Carefree Vacation’r 18-19’:
Patio Awning with center arm to center arm measurements of 18'-19'
Awning rail (on RV) to ground measurement of 86" – 138"
Pitch Drop Settings:
There are 2 settings on the Vacation’r Screen Room to cover awning to ground measurements of 86" – 138", one for steep pitch and one for flat pitch.
- Flat setting = Awning rail to ground measurement of 86" – 120"
- Steep setting = Awning rail to ground measurement of 108" – 138"
The Carefree Vacation’R Screen Room will fit most competitors brand awnings with the standard 8’ canopy extension. **Will not fit Zip Dee awnings. If you have a Carefree of Colorado awning the Vacation’r fits most Carefree models like the Spirit, Fiesta, Simplicity, Pioneer, 12v Eclipse, and Travel’r model awnings.

an excellent choice for a screen room

When I called to make sure the room would fit our trailer, which is especially high, I was given sound information. I ordered the screen room and it was shipped very quickly. Using the help of the directions obtained online and a handy friend it was installed in three hours. Now that we have done it, we will be able to install it more quickly in the future. It looks good and we have had several complements from fellow campers. The window flaps adjust easily.

Very nice addition to our RV, will make a winter in Fla. more enjoyable do to the extra room. Our two cats will have free roam of the extra room, i"am sure the will love the open space. The extra room took about a hour to set up the first time. We now have it down to about 30 min. with no problem. Dyers RV shipped super fast, will buy other products from Dyers in the future. Over all rating for this product and Dyers RV are excellent. Thank you Dyers RV.

The tent tore in multiple places, especially at the tie down spots for the windows. Zipper was difficult to open and close.

Great idea, but not for everyone

It took my husband and I all day to put it up and had to attach velcro to the sides to keep it on the trailer. We find it very hot inside the room, even with the windows up. It is also bug heaven.

Overall, I would recommend it. Minor annoyances but a really nice addition.

I like the product. It was very simple to put up, we even had no trouble putting it up on a windy day. I had a few complaints but none of them would have stopped me from buying the product even if I had known about them beforehand.
1. Minor irritation: the tent fabric was glued together when we pulled it out of the bag. We had to physically pull it apart before it could be hung up straight. When I say glued, it was some kind of treatment that is used on the material and in most of the case, it pulled apart easily, just annoying. There were a few spots that it did not want to come apart that pulled the treatment off when we finally got it apart. No major issue I guess just annoying for the most part.
2. I wish the hook that holds the panel up was closed. Every time you would try to zip the panel, the hook would unhook because it is open. This would be fixed if the beginning hook was located in another place, say a couple of inches to the right or what we did was buy a d clamp to hold it until you get the zipper started.
3. We have an 18' foot awning so you have to buy the room that fits a 17 or 18'. I wish it came in specifically an 18' size instead of the universal size to fit the 2 sizes. It rounds at the top because of this. Again, just annoying not major issue.
