Carefree 16'-17' Vacation'r Screen Room

Great screen room. Very easy to install!

We use the screen room at the beach in moderate wind and it worked great. We used weights from home to keep the tents sides down because there was no place to hammer in the spikes (asphalt camp site). We set up the screen room at home before we went to our first camp site, which made it much easier to set up at the campsite and take down. The material seemed to be sturdy and worked well. When it was windier we opened the window flaps and this made it easier to set up.it fit nicely back in the carrying case as well.

Recently bought this room and did not like the clamp on straps to the awning and it does not fit well against the camper wall without serious modifications .Would not recommend this unit to anyone. I would pick a more fixture type attatchable unit even if you have to drill some holes.

We were not able to get a good seal to camper and did not stand up well in wind. Definitely would not keep bugs out. Very disappointed in this product.

This is a very good product, however changes have been made to the design since the pictures of it were posted. There is no window in the door, it uses clamps in the awning rails instead of the slide-in piece in their video. Also, the RV skirt is one-piece instead or the sections that it used to be. It also uses a ball-bungee cord on the outside corners now instead of a strap. All that being said this still would be the screen room I'd buy again. It goes up pretty simply. (first time took my wife and I about 45 minutes to figure everything out) I think we could get it put up in about 20 minutes once we get proficient at it. Not sure if it's worth it for a weekend trip but that has yet to be decided. It adds a TON of room to the RV though.

We are living in our 30' travel trailer full time. After our cooler got stolen, we looked at options. This room meets and exceeds all our expectations. We got 10 pallets, 4 4x8 sheets of plywood and some marine carpet. For under $800 total, we "added on" to our travel trailer giving us 136 square feet of usable floor space. We put my recliner next to my stocked cooler, a chaise lounge, floor lamp and big screen TV in it and have a great family room! It also keeps the travel trailer 5 degrees warmer inside. Also hides the trailer next door. Cleaned up the exterior of our trailer. Sitting on the couch inside and looking out into the room makes it feel like a double wide, a LOT less crowded. Can you tell we are thrilled? It took us about 40 hours total because ONE of us is a perfectionist :) Only fault we could find was sealing at all 4 upper corners. We bought a roll of Velcro, but that won't peel and stick to fabric. Returned that and got double sided tape which worked fine. First time it rained we adjusted a couple of corners and no further problems. This is a great product. We found video's on this room on YouTube AFTER we were done. Check them out!

The room saved this past buck season as we had a dry place to change and dry our gear during the first 3 rainy days of deer season. The room was easily set up and secured against winds and heavy rains. It made the poor weather much more tolerable and our hunt a more memorable one. If you have a smaller camper (ours is 23 ft.) then the extra room is really appreciated. The additional space was easy to heat with an electric heater and comfortable. If you are looking for a little extra room get one of these.
