Carefree 10'-11' Vacation'r Screen Room

arrived as advertised, easy to follow instructions and performed as advertised , great as extra room or insect barrier ; note that this does not include floor

Purchased this to add some extra living space to my KZ RV 16' Toy Hauler. Overall quality is good, but don't quite understand the difference in the lower skirt material of the front panels compared to the side panels (front have more tent like material at the bottom, sides have a heavier vinyl material. Also, the skirt for the RV is not as useful in my application (due to the shorter overall height of my RV). I will likely have to fabricate my own skirt. Also, the manner in which the "door: is handled is a little odd, but nothing that you can't get used too.

Directions could be a little clearer, but it's fairly easy to set up. Can be a one man job after the initial set up. Once up it provides exactly what it says it does. In our case, it almost doubles the size of our living area. It will be a nice space for our dog to relax when we are away from the RV. More room to move about.

On our first use we found out how well it handles the elements. We had a strong unexpected rain storm come through around 4am. Strong enough to relocate our pop-up canopy! The add-a-room did it's job in hard rain and blustery winds. Rain only intruded as I forgot to fasten the bottom half of one of the window covers.

All in all a good product especially on designed to accommodate a lot of different configurations. It's not perfect, but I think it will do a good job for what we need.

The materials are very high quality and the fit was very close to being perfect. The directions lack some specific guidance and leaves you scratching your head from time to time. More detailed directions would be beneficial. The weakness we found with the design was the panel for the door. In reality, it's really just an extension of the outer panel. You find yourself always unzipping and then re-zipping the panel coming and going. We actually took the door panel to a canvas fabricator that installed a zipper door into the door panel so we zip up a more door like section of the panel. The new zipper has two split closers that allow you to more easily open the door section from inside or out as the mechanisms do not go all the way to the ground - an improvement on a good design.

Overall, happy with the room but please with the modification made to enter and exit the room. Maybe the Carefree Co. should consider the same change.

Love the room. The design of the "door" is not the best due to the fact that you have to zip from the bottom up. We got the room with the idea that our dogs would be confined and have more room to roam. But each time someone exit the room, the door must be unzipped and zipped back . We actually took the door piece to a canvas seamstress and had them insert a door in that panel that zips around from the top allowing us to exit w//o having to unzip the bottom
