My take on the blue-ox base plate is that it is a good product, I could make it myself but my time is worth more than it would take me to figure out the bolt patterns. The big problem I have found with ordering this base plate (2001 Toyota 4x4 tocoma) is that my vehicle is not capable of being towed at all as is (most Toyotas cannot be towed). I found this information out at the last minute and will not return the base plate. Read your owners manual to make sure your vehicle is towable. If it is not, you have only three choices--return the base plate, install driveline disconnects (high costs) or disconnect the drive shafts all together each time before towing (this is what I will have to do).
