The internal screw shaft is coated top to bottom with a specially formulated lubricant that provides increased protection against wear and corrosion. Accessible gear housing for easier maintenance. “A” frame bracket pre-installed for easier mounting to either weld-on or bolt-on tongues.

| Features | Corrosion Protection - Jack tubes are coated with a rust inhibitive process called E-coat. The coating exceeds the A.S.T.M. standard 2000 hour salt spray test. Easy door shade replacement

Ordered the AP shade replacement, my gosh delivery turn around was quick. Very impressive! Product came with everything necessary, no broken or missing parts. This was used to replace an existing door window. From start to finish, including on rounding up tools and clean up...15 minutes. Only needed a second person for only 1 minute to hold the new window shade in place. Yeah the manufacturer instructions are not the greatest. I have heard so many stories of others who have installed this upside down, backwards, etc. Before installing I mentally thought the process through from a common sense point of view and all went great. Just a point the piece with the extended molded piece on the short end goes on the inside and top. This is where the shade disappears when open. Only disappointment is the other day went to open it and the shade did not open and fold like a perfect accordion. The replacement shade is only available in one color, frame and shade are black, no other colors as of yet. Window tinting is great. During daytime one can see out with no problem (as long as the shade is open) and one cannot see in. Night time one can see both out and in, if a light is on in the inside. That is to be expected, not going to get way from that. You do need to operate the shade with both hands to alleviate binding.
