Hope product will slow down the deterioration from the sun and keep some of the snow off.

Our 5th wheel is located in the high sierras and is subject to harsh weather. The awning has held up pretty good but needs help through the winter. I think this product will do a great job against UV damage but sure wish it would protect it all the way to the trailer wall thus eliminating the water and the UV from the small strip above the product. I will probably order another set for my motor home. The only thing is that installing it when it is parked and taking it off when we travel should be a lot easier. We do travel every month.

The manager of my park has ordered one, he liked mine so much.
Review by Dan
It was a little hard to install but very manageable. I feel it should protect my awning from the harsh mountain winter weather here in Virginia where i leave my camping trailer. I am sure there will be more orders from my park forth coming. I have a lot of people looking at it.

Review by krannny
It's kind of hard to install and remove, the price is way to high considering it is made from a low cost material, product desighn could be better with a curved piece on the top side and a rubber or silicone strip that would prevent water from seeping in from the top side, and maybe make it a telescoping unit instead of individual pieces.

Okay, But Could Use Improvement.
Review by Thunderfish
The covers were not large enough to fit over the rolled up awning and reach into the gutter above it. Therefore, water will still seep into the awning and cause mildew, etc. The covers will mostly protect the awning from UV rays, but as another reviewer noted, a small strip of vinyl is still exposed. Overall, I think the product could use some design modification and is severely overpriced for the protection it offers and the materials from which it is made. I might tell a friend about the product, but I would certainly explain my reservations about it.

Review by Awning Covers
We found the Awning Covers to be hard to install. Lucky for us there was a guy at our RV Park that knew about the covers and told us some tips on how to install them. We were ready to send them back! He told us to slide them on from the back forward, over lapping them as we go. He also said that we might be able to take them off easier by rolling out the awning so that the covers would be lower and easier to reach. We are going to attempt installing the covers later this year when we are going to be storing our 5th wheel.

Great help to a problem with awnings and the sun. My awning started to flake on top a bit but did not want to shell out $ for metal protected awning. This product fills my needs

Should make my awning last for many years. My original only lasted 6 years and I had to replace it.

Does exactly what it claims to do. Very easy to install and by buying from Dyers I saved money compared to anyone else that had the same product advertised.

Delivery was much faster than I expected.

Good protection for roll-up awnings
Review by JEFLYER
Living in Arizona and storing our Class A outdoors, it would have been great to have found this product when first replacing our vinyl awning. After 5 years the outer layer began flaking off and an online search turned up this cover. It was a no-brainer purchase which I would recommend to anyone with an exposed awning. The product is simple, but one that required a manufacturer to create and distribute it. The small market dictates the price, I'm sure, but this cover should save every awning from the need to ever be replaced, IMO. Thankfully, our awning has a second rib which will allow us to cut off the first foot of fabric that disentegrated in the sunlight and the remaining awning will be like new.

It is apparent that some of the earlier model RV's have awning rolls where the fabric connects to the RV body more towards the top or even slightly above the rolled awning, whereas all of the later models have the track connection more towards the center on the back of the roll. This does unfortunately, leave a small amount of exposed fabric. The later models can be covered all the way to the track simple by turning the product towards the RV body. I spoke with the manufacturer and I was told that the extrusion process made it impossible to design a extra "wing" if you will, to cover the small amount of fabric on the earlier models. This seems to be tolerable considering the 99% coverage, cost effectiveness and warranty of the product. Over all, I am extremely satisfied and glad that someone finally made a cover that will last and is easy to use. Also, in case you didnt know you can pull out your awning with the product in place for ease of removal.

Good product
Review by DonB
This product does what it says - protects exposed vinyl awning fabric from UV exposure. It was easy to apply the overlapping 4 - foot long sections to the rolled up awning. The only concern is that a narrow strip of vinyl remains exposed at the top where the awning attaches to the RV's side. During the summer months, I will place a strip of white PVC sprinkler pipe in the groove between the rolled up awning and the RV's side wall. This will shade the exposed vinyl strip and prevent UV degradation.
