There are two mounting holes which one was off by about 1/4 inch for me. But it could be that my original vent has warped ever so slightly over time.
I took a gamble that you could vary the speed on this unit since there was nothing in the specifications indicating that capability. I used a motor speed control from a previous project without incident. After at least 50 hours of use the fan is operating just fine.
Good impeller design. This fan moves the air! There is an acceptable amount of noise on high speed. But I expected that. You cannot tell it's running when operated at lower speeds.
