It looks nice. It does take two hands to move the shade as it moves stiffly. I think it may free up after some use.
The new slim shade will fit the existing hole perfectly. Put the shade in the inner frame and tape the ends in place with electrical tape to simplify assembly. Clean old seals off of the door and place the inner and outer frames on the door. Extra hand help here otherwise use tape. Screw the frames together and its done. A clear window with shade in the door.
The tent of the glass matches the other windows in our Forester. The shade blacks out the window. I love this window. Highly recommended
Open shade adds light and visibility, closed shade adds privacy and room darkening.
Should have been OEM with the trailer.
Fairly easy to install with a helper to hold from the outside. Be sure to tape the old window glass to the frame when you remove it.
Watch the YouTube videos first for easy installation.
Also took upper screen out of screen door as we never have main door open with screen door closed anyway.
Nice addition
Clamped a board vertically from outside top of door to bottom of door in the center of the window frame. and also used tape to hold glass in.
Used electrical tape to hold the top and bottom of the slide to the frame while installing. Worked great.
Took maybe 45 minutes.
