Atwood Water Heater 90268 Tankless On Demand Modulating Valve Assembly

So last winter, even though the Atwood On Demand has the cold weather kit, I had some hard freeze damage. The rv was stored and unfortunately, the freeze protection wasn't adequate to keep the modulating valve from being damaged. The entire unit was only 2 years old and functioned perfectly with cold protection while I over wintered residing in it. I had a constant supply of propane and used the unit several times a day. I realized this spring when I was doing my PM's that I had a leak on the modulating valve. If you are going to test your water heater on the bench, make sure you have 12 volts for the test. I forgot that this valve was a solenoid actuated valve and ended up reinstalling it, just to have water spraying out again.
Dyers had the best price. This is not a repair for the faint of heart. The On Demand heater has to be removed and darn near fully disassembled to get to this valve. I had to reuse a fitting from the old one because the new installed fittings compression nut wasn't threading correctly. I'm not sure what Atwood was thinking installing copper tubing, if I had to do it again, I would remove the copper feed and hot water supply with pex flex tubing and use Sharkbite fittings. So after installing 3-4 times, it has finally not leaked and is operational. Atwood gets a D, but Dyers gets an A+. Atwood doesn't have much online for troubleshooting. Taking it to a rv repair facility would have cost about $500, mainly labor.
Again, I ordered the known part number from Dyers and received a confirmation and a shipped e-mail. The part came quickly 3-4 days.
